Music and cultural outreach workshops

Rajamani takes his music education program with much importance. His goal is to help youth and adults mentally, spiritually and physically through music and meditation. He believes that learning and appreciating music can be one of the most important steps in making positive changes possible in children as well as in the world. Music breaks through all forms of illusive borders and also helps one build healthy boundaries. Music helps in understanding balance and respect from a more deeper conscious level. With the help of an experienced teacher in both music and spiritual practise a student can attain much valuable knowledge to guide them in their life. This learning process is radically more deeper than just taking music lessons to be a master musician. This process digs deeper than just the surface of notes and techniques. It touches the core level of you own inner being.

Rajamani has facilitated music and percussion workshops for children and adults in India, Israel, Germany and all around the United States of America.. He is presently part of the “One World Theatre Cultural outreach program”, the “Dougherty Arts Center MAP program”. He also works in a yearly basis with “Life Works” (a social service agency providing mental-health counseling) bringing culture and music to underprivileged children and working in the leadership programs for youth. He has also partnered with “TNOYS” (Texas Network for Youth Services) providing leardership skill programs through music, as well as in addition to taking music, drumming and culture to “Gardner Bets” Junenile detention center.

Oliver Rajamani has given lectures and workshops on World Music and the history of the Roma (Gypsies) and their music in schools and Universities such as, Kodaikanal International School in India, the University of Texas in Austin, St. Edwards University in Texas, Austin Community College, and Shriner University in Kerville, Tx, The Burmuda school of Music and many, many more….
